Dr. Gina M. Grasso, O.D. Optometrist
Dr. Grasso is a graduate of UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Grasso has a special interest in Contact Lenses and Refractive Eye Care, including Refractive Surgical Management.
Dr. Grasso obtained her Doctor of Optometry degree from University of California Berkeley in 1999 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of California Riverside in 1995. She conducted her externship at Omni Eye Care Specialists in Denver, CO, specializing in the co-management of glaucoma, retinal pathology, and corneal disease. She also completed an externship at Vandenberg Air Force Base in Lompoc, CA, specializing in primary care, and another at American Eye Institute in Los Angeles, CA (Cedars Sinai Hospital), specializing in specialty contact lens fitting for eye disease, cosmetic contact lens fitting, and refractive surgery. After graduation, Dr. Grasso completed a Post-Graduate Clinical Teaching Fellowship at University of California Berkeley which involved teaching clinical thought processes and procedures to optometry students in the UC Berkeley Optometry Clinic. While finishing her Doctorate degree, Dr. Grasso participated in relief missions to Costa Rica and Peru, providing free eye care services and eye-wear to underprivileged local residents. She has also donated her time extensively at the Lion's Optometric Clinic in San Diego, CA.
